Our advanced peels are designed to treat key skin concerns including premature skin ageing, pigmentation/uneven skin tone, dehydration and congested skin.

Whats involved in my treatment?

We will start the treatment by cleansing and preparing your skin, we will apply a barrier to protect your eyes and lips from the peel and will then apply the peel to your skin, You will then have a customised mask applied and Medik8 products are used on your skin to finish the treatment.

What do I need to do before my advanced Peel?

Prior to a Medik8 Peel you will be recommended a home care program suited for your skin type and concerns. You will need to stop the use of all Retinol products 48 hours prior to the peel and ensure that you have been using SPF Protection consistently leading up to the treatment.

What do I need to do after my advanced Peel?

Accepted Answer

You may experience mild discomfort, redness and/or flaking of the skin over the next 5-7 days, Do not pick or exfoliate any peeling skin. Makeup (preferably mineral)may be worn immediately following the treatment to help with the downtime. Discontinue use of any Corrective Serums in your home care routine for this period of time, This includes products containing AHAs, BHA, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) and Retinol (Vitamin A), Ultra Daily SPF Protection must be used daily post peel. Avoid vigorous exercise or excessive heat including saunas, steam baths, hot showers or chlorinated pools for 48 hours following your treatment and avoid waxing, IPL or laser treatments for 2 weeks following the treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

A series of bespoke peels will be required for best results with a minimum of 2 weeks in between each treatment. The number of treatments needed will be individual to the person depending upon the desired results you are looking to achieve and the concerns that we are treating. For best results we recommend a course of 6 treatments minimum, every 4 weeks.

Do I really need to wear an SPF and Environmental protector daily?

How long does the treatment take?

Ultraceutical bespoke peels will take between 50-70 minutes depending on what peel we are applying and what concern we are treating.

Skin needs a starting point so we will carefully select the correct peel for your skin type to begin with. Through out your peel journey you will move through different levels, increasing the strength of the peel and the active ingredients used for longer lasting results.
